When to see a cardiologist, and when your GP is enough
Chest pain doesn't always mean cardiac. Cardiac doesn't always announce itself with chest pain. Here's the deciding line.
Three doctors, one clinic, walk-in and appointments — internal medicine, paediatrics, GP care for everyone from the youngest to the eldest in your house.
MediCare Family Clinic opened in 2011 — a single GP room next to a small pharmacy on Khayaban-e-Shujaat. We now run three consult rooms, a paediatric area with a small play corner, and a quiet observation bay for IV fluids and short procedures. Every doctor on our team has been with us for at least four years.
We're not the place for emergencies or hospital-level care — for that please dial 1122 or visit Aga Khan, Liaquat National, or South City. We are the place for fevers, vaccinations, hypertension reviews, asthma flare-ups, paediatric check-ups, women's-health consultations, and the slow-moving conditions (diabetes, thyroid, cholesterol) that need someone who remembers you between visits.
Dr. Imran Sajjad, founder and lead paediatrician — Friday morning, before clinic.
Three PMDC-registered doctors. One clinic. Choose who you'd like to see when you book.

Dr. Imran founded MediCare in 2011 after eight years at Aga Khan University Hospital paediatrics unit. He sees newborns through adolescents — vaccinations, growth-and-development checks, asthma management, paediatric infections.

Dr. Ayesha joined MediCare in 2014. She runs our adult internal medicine clinic — diabetes, hypertension, thyroid, cardiac risk assessment, and the routine annual physical. She trained at Liaquat National Hospital and at the Royal Free in London.

Reviews from patients who agreed to share their experience. Calm, accurate, real.
“Dr. Imran has looked after my son from his first vaccination at 6 weeks to his asthma plan now at age 9. The continuity is the difference — he knows our family's history without me re-explaining it every time.”
Saima A.
DHA, Karachi
“Dr. Ayesha's diabetes plan got me from an HbA1c of 9.8 to 6.4 in fourteen months. Clear written plan, monthly WhatsApp check-ins, no scolding for the bad weeks.”
Mohammad Y.
Khayaban-e-Shujaat
“Walk-in waits can be 40 minutes on a busy Tuesday but the actual consultation is unhurried — felt like she had all afternoon for me. Would book appointment-only in future.”
Rabia H.
DHA Phase 6
“Came in for a fever consultation; left with a clear plan and a follow-up WhatsApp check from Dr. Sara two days later asking how my son was doing. Small thing, mattered a lot.”
Asif K.

Reviews are published after a team check — usually within a working day. We never edit reviews; we may decline ones that name another patient.
Health awareness articles, written by the doctors who see you in clinic. No internet-medicine, no fear-mongering.
