What a PKR 1 lakh vs PKR 3 lakh wedding package actually includes — line by line
When a Pakistani bride compares our Gold package (PKR 2,600 per head) to a competitor's "wedding package starting at PKR 1,800 per head", the comparison rarely is like-for-like. Here's what changes between price tiers — line by line — across the seven cost centres of a Pakistani wedding.
1. Food (40% of total cost)
**At PKR 1,800/head**: usually 4 mains (one biryani, one karahi, one BBQ platter, vegetable side), 2 starters, 1 sweet, 1 drink option. Quality is decent but standard — kept-warm food, average plating.
**At PKR 2,600/head**: 7 mains (two biryanis, two karahi/handi, BBQ platter with two meats, two vegetable sides), 3 starters, 2 sweets, chai station + 2 drink options. Fresh service rounds rather than continuous warm-trays.
**At PKR 3,800/head**: 10 mains (specialty biryanis, premium karahi with imported chilis, live BBQ station, Chinese/continental option, fresh seafood option), 4–5 starters, 4 sweets + dessert station, mocktail bar + premium beverage. Live cooking stations with chef on-site.
The difference between 1,800 and 3,800 in food is **mostly fresh service**, **live cooking**, and **premium ingredients**. The biryani at PKR 1,800 is fine. The biryani at PKR 3,800 has saffron from Iran and meat that was slaughtered that morning.
2. Hall + dressing (15% of cost)
**At PKR 1,800/head**: standard hall, basic AC, plain chair coverings, simple table linens. Décor confined to entrance + stage backdrop. Lighting is overhead chandeliers only.
**At PKR 2,600/head**: premium hall (better acoustics, larger), table-level florals, ceiling fairy lights, accent uplighting in the brand's primary colour. Standard chair covers in fabric, not paper.
**At PKR 3,800/head**: highest-tier hall (most chandeliers, best AC + emergency backup), ceiling drape + imported florals, custom signage, monogram lighting on the dance floor, premium chair covers + sashes + linens.
3. Décor (15% of cost)
**At PKR 1,800/head**: in-house décor team, standard themes (one of 4 pre-built moods — red+gold, peach+gold, white+blush, green+marigold). No custom theme development.
**At PKR 2,600/head**: in-house team, custom mood-board development (1 round of revision included), premium centerpieces per table, larger entrance arch.
**At PKR 3,800/head**: dedicated décor lead assigned, 3 mood-board rounds, imported florals (Holland tulips, Thai orchids depending on season), ceiling-drape installation, mehndi-day separate decor setup, pre-event sample setup for bride's approval.
4. Service team (10% of cost)
**At PKR 1,800/head**: 20-person serving team for 250 guests. Standard uniforms.
**At PKR 2,600/head**: 25-person serving team + dedicated bridal-table waiter who stays attached to the head table all evening. Uniforms upgraded.
**At PKR 3,800/head**: 30-person serving team + 2 bridal attendants (one for the bride's family, one for the groom's). Premium uniforms. Toastmaster service available.
5. Audio/Visual (10% of cost)
**At PKR 1,800/head**: basic DJ + sound system, one mic, no LED screens, no video.
**At PKR 2,600/head**: DJ + premium sound + 1 LED screen for the dance floor + photographer (5-hour coverage).
**At PKR 3,800/head**: DJ + premium sound + 2 LED screens + intelligent lighting (moving heads) + photographer + videographer (8-hour coverage with edited highlight reel delivered in 5 days) + slot for a live musician (qawwal, dhol).
6. Bridal experience (5% of cost)
**At PKR 1,800/head**: shared bridal suite (no exclusive use), basic refreshments.
**At PKR 2,600/head**: exclusive bridal suite + groom's suite, refreshments throughout the event, chai for the bride's family.
**At PKR 3,800/head**: bridal suite + groom's suite + 2 family rooms, butler service, champagne (alcohol-free) on arrival, lunch served in the bridal suite if the wedding is an afternoon event.
7. Hidden costs (the comparison killer)
What budget venues quote at PKR 1,800/head **often excludes**:
- AC charge for high-summer (April–September) events — frequently a PKR 80,000 surcharge.
- Extra hours beyond a 4-hour package — PKR 25–40k per hour, often discovered on the day.
- Décor that goes beyond stage + entrance — quoted separately at the bride's choice.
- Photographer / videographer — completely separate vendor contracts.
- Music + sound beyond the basic mic + 2-speaker setup — DJ surcharge of PKR 35–60k.
A "PKR 1,800/head package for 300 guests = PKR 5,40,000" can easily become **PKR 8,50,000** by the wedding day. The PKR 2,600/head Gold package at our hall would have been PKR 7,80,000 all-in.
How to compare proposals properly
When comparing wedding venues, **ask for an itemised per-head breakdown** that includes:
- Number of food dishes (mains + starters + sweets + drinks)
- Hall hours included
- Whether AC is in the package or a surcharge
- Whether décor is in the package, what tier
- Whether photographer/videographer is included, what coverage
- What the serving team size is
- What's in the bridal suite
A venue that refuses to itemise probably has hidden costs. A venue that itemises will be more expensive on paper but less expensive in reality.
Our Silver, Gold, and Platinum packages are itemised on the site. WhatsApp our booking desk for a written quote — we send it in 24 hours, no obligation.
